a longtime veteran of the canadian independent scene, he gained international exposure when he joined the wwe in 1996 as the jackyl. a cult-like leader, he would lead multiple groups like the truth commission and the oddities before departing wwe in 1998. he would re-emerge in extreme championship wrestling (ecw) as the villainous cyrus the virus, where he would wrangle control of ecw as part of the network. following the closure of ecw, he would join tna wrestling for several years before entering retirement. he would return to the industry in 2017 when he joined the commentary table for new japan pro wrestling (njpw) before jumping to join the broadcast booth for tna wrestling that same year. he would depart tna in 2021, heading to all elite wrestling (aew), where he would begin managing talents on-screen again for the first time in almost 15 years. he would handle the reigns of one of his former proteges, kenny omega, before viciously turning on him and launching a new stable, the don callis family. in maple leaf wrestling, he’s returned to the broadcast booth as the colour commentator alongside the play-by-play of mauro ranallo.
