“the milan miracle” made one of the most memorable debuts in wwe history when he came out of the audience at a wwe show in milan, italy to capture the wwe intercontinental championship. since then, santino marella has developed into one of the comedic masterminds of professional wrestling, more akin to andy kaufman than ric flair. a beloved figure in the world of pro wrestling, santino marella was a fan favourite for most of his run with wwe from 2007 to 2016. since then, he’s opened the battle arts academy in his home town of mississauga, ontario, where he helps train the canadian wrestling stars of tomorrow. he began making appearances in tna wrestling and in 2022 joined the company full time as the director of authority, a position he holds today. a staunch supporter of canadian pro wrestling, santino marella is now a part of the roster of stars to work with maple leaf pro wrestling.
