Pound for pound, he’s one of the best athletes in the pro wrestling industry today. A veteran of the Japanese promotion DDT Pro for years, he finally captured the attention of North American fans when he first arrived in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in 2021. Since then he’s only grown his legend in stature, as the foundational focal point of the Don Callis Family (until recently), and his rise to become the AEW International Champion (which he recently lost to Kyle Fletcher), to his triumphant takeover of Japan, becoming the IWGP Heavyweight Champion in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). A skilled striker, a technically proficient grappler, and an athletic superstar who isn’t afraid to take risks, Konosuke Takeshita is one of the best in the world – so much so, that he headlined both nights of MAPLE LEAF PRO Wrestling’s debut events in Windsor, Forged in Excellence.
