As Joe Gacy, he was a reckless warrior on the US independent circuit, as a three-time Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) World Heavyweight Champion. His brutal savagery got him noticed, and he joined WWE in 2021, joining NXT. He finally joined WWE SmackDown as a member of the Wyatt Sicks, capturing the WWE World Tag Team titles alongside Dexter Lumis. He departed WWE in 2026 and has since re-emerged as Joseph Sawyer, making his MAPLE LEAF PRO debut at MLP Sacred Ground in September of that year.
