for years “speedball” mike bailey wasn’t one of canada’s greatest indie wrestlers, but one of the best unsigned talents in the world. a border issue halted his progress in the united states, but he took that opportunity to travel the world, finding even greater success in japan and europe, as well as continuing his work across canada. in 2021, he finally made the jump, signing with tna wrestling in 2021, where he would become a three-time tna x-division champion. a martial arts savant and tactical aerialist, bailey also cemented his legacy by winning the prestigious pro wrestling guerrilla (pwg) battle of los angles tournament in 2023, the same year he entered his first new japan pro wrestling (njpw) best of the super juniors tournament. He is now a member of the all elite wrestling (aew) locker room, but still finds the time to compete at maple leaf pro wrestling, where this future canadian hall of famer will continue to showcase the best that canada has to offer.
