While it’s true that the Fabulous Moolah made many stops in the Maple Leaf territory as the NWA Women’s World Champion, Maple Leaf never had a championship of its own that women could strive for. Until now!

At MLP MAYHEM in Windsor, Ontario on March 14 and 15 at St. Clair College, MAPLE LEAF PRO will begin the process of crowning the inaugural MLP Women’s Canadian Champion with a tournament that will lead to the finals at MLP Northern Rising in Toronto. The Semifinals and Quarterfinals will all go down in Windsor at MAYHEM and we’ve got the match-ups that will kick the whole thing off!

Gisele Shaw was a perennial World Champion contender in TNA Wrestling, but the TNA Knockouts World Championship always remained just out of her grasp! Now “The Quintessential Diva” has gold in her sights and the hopes of representing her country as the first Women’s Canadian Champion in MAPLE LEAF PRO!

Laynie Luck is a veteran of the U.S. independent scene who emerged as a bonafide star in MAPLE LEAF PRO last fall at MLP Forged In Excellence! She proved her toughness and mettle and will be looking to show the entire world that she belongs by becoming the first woman to hold the MLP Women’s Canadian Championship!

Kylie Rae has been a star everywhere she’s competed, in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), TNA Wrestling, and the various independents around the world! She proved that last fall at MLP Forged In Excellence and by being announced earlier this year as a WWE ID prospect, where she now competes on WWE EVOLVE. Now the most genuine smile in professional wrestling is back in a MAPLE LEAF PRO ring as she looks to become the inaugural MLP Women’s Canadian Champion!

Zoe Sager has been one of Canada’s best kept secrets for years now, dominating in the Western Canadian independent scene, and appearing for AEW on Canadian shows. This year she became the first Canadian wrestler to get a WWE ID status, heading to WWE EVOLVE for its inaugural season on Tubi. In a WWE ID Official Match, she’ll face off against fellow WWE ID prospect Kylie Rae for the chance to become the first ever MLP Women’s Canadian Champion!

Aurora Teves is a world traveller. She spent several years in the hard-hitting UK independent scene where she competed for the likes of Pro Wrestling EVE, Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW), TNT, and others, facing top stars like Lana Austin, Riho, Emersyn Jayne, and Harley Hudson. She returned to North America and became a Superhero for Women of Wrestling (WOW), where she competes as Kara Kai in the tandem The Dojo Defenders alongside Tara Strike. Now the Canadian grappler has her sights on becoming the inaugural MLP Women’s Canadian Champion and it all starts on Night One of MLP MAYHEM in Windsor, Ontario!

Serena Deeb is one of the most respected ring veterans of the past twenty years, having competed in WWE, TNA Wrestling, SHIMMER, and now AEW, where “The Professor” continues to prove that she’s one of the most gifted technical grapplers of her generation. Deeb is hoping to parlay that experience into victory, as she begins her quest to become the MLP Women’s Canadian Champion!

Taylor Rising earned her stripes in the Canadian independent scene the past few years before breaking out on TV as part of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) in 2023, as well as various appearances for AEW in Canada. As feisty as they come, Taylor Rising will be looking to add big gold to her cabinet, in her hopes of becoming the first woman to call herself MLP Women’s Canadian Champion!

Beaa Moss is a veteran of the Canadian independent scene who has battled all comers in her career, and now she’s stepping up to her biggest challenge yet! Beaa Moss has held many titles throughout her career, which has seen appearances for TNA Wrestling, but this tournament could lead her to her biggest accomplishment yet – becoming the first woman to hold the MLP Women’s Canadian Championship!
